The studio and
how we think.
01.01What is ARIV?
ARIV, also known as ARIV Technologies, is a hybrid product studio based in Dubai, UAE. We build operations software for scaling teams.
We work inside an operation to find where time, money and information are being lost, then design and build the system that fixes it. Our four main engagements are Workflow Diagnostics, custom software builds, systems integration and product reviews.
01.02What does “hybrid product studio” mean?
A hybrid product studio combines business strategy, operations, product design and software engineering in one team.
We diagnose how your operation actually runs, as a consultancy would, then design, build and support the software that improves it, as a product team would. The people who investigate the problem remain involved in solving it.
01.03Where is ARIV based? Do you work with companies outside the UAE?
ARIV is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We work with companies in the UAE and can support organisations elsewhere.
Some engagements benefit from observing the operation in person, while other parts of the work can be handled remotely. Location, access and any on-site requirements are agreed before an engagement begins.
01.04Who is behind ARIV?
ARIV is a growing, founder-led team, and the founders remain directly involved in every engagement.
Rather than separating consulting, product and engineering into disconnected teams, we work closely across those disciplines from the initial diagnosis through delivery and support.
01.05What is it like working with a growing studio?
ARIV takes on a limited number of engagements at a time. This allows each client to work with a dedicated team and keeps the founders directly involved.
We are open about being a growing studio, clear about what we have and have not done before, and careful not to promise something until we understand the operation, systems and constraints behind it.
SERVICES
What we do
and where we start.
02.01What services does ARIV offer?
ARIV offers four main types of engagement:
- Workflow Diagnostic: We map how one important process actually runs, identify where efficiency is being lost and recommend what to fix first.
- Build: We design, develop and deploy working operations software in your environment.
- Systems integration: We connect existing systems and data that currently operate separately.
- Product review: We assess software that is already in use but is not delivering the expected results.
Most engagements begin with a Workflow Diagnostic.
02.02What is a Workflow Diagnostic?
A Workflow Diagnostic is usually ARIV’s starting engagement.
We map how one core process actually runs against how it is supposed to run. This can involve observing the work, speaking with the people doing it and reviewing the systems and data involved.
You receive a written findings report, prioritised recommendations with the expected cost or effort of each, and a practical plan for the first improvement.
02.03What if we do not proceed with a build after the diagnostic?
The findings report is yours to keep and is designed to be useful on its own, whether or not you continue with ARIV.
If you proceed with a software build, the cost of the Workflow Diagnostic is credited in full against that engagement.
02.04Will ARIV replace our existing systems?
Usually not.
Most of what we build works with systems that are already important to the business and cannot easily be replaced, such as an ERP, warehouse platform, finance system or operational database.
The aim is to make your existing systems work together more effectively and add only what is missing.
02.05Can ARIV connect our ERP to our warehouse, dispatch or finance systems?
Yes, where the systems provide suitable access to their data.
We can connect information between ERP, warehouse, dispatch, finance and other operational systems. Before recommending an integration, we assess the available APIs, database access, exports, security requirements and limitations of each system.
If a direct integration is not practical, we identify the safest and most maintainable alternative.
02.06Can ARIV automate order entry from PDFs, scanned purchase orders and emails?
Yes. ARIV can build an order-processing layer that reads incoming orders from PDFs, scans, photographs, emails or spreadsheets.
The system can extract relevant information, validate it against available stock, pricing or customer data, and produce a clean instruction for the next stage of the operation. Routine orders can move through automatically, while incomplete or unusual orders are sent to a person for review.
This reduces manual re-keying, processing time and the errors associated with entering the same information more than once.
02.07Can ARIV give us one live view of our drivers, jobs and deliveries?
Yes. For logistics and transport teams, ARIV can build a shared operational view of drivers, jobs, sites and deliveries.
Where the underlying systems provide usable status data, the view can update automatically and show where a job is, whether it is delayed and who is responsible for it. This reduces the need to rely on phone calls, messages and individual spreadsheets to understand what is happening.
02.08Our software was built, but our team barely uses it. Can ARIV help?
Yes. This is what ARIV’s Product Review is designed for.
We assess the software, its roadmap, how it is being developed and how people use it in practice. We then identify what is preventing adoption and recommend what should change so the software fits the work more effectively.
The problem is not always missing functionality. It may be the workflow, interface, implementation, training or assumptions made when the product was designed.
WHO IT’S FOR
The operations
we work inside.
03.01Which industries does ARIV work with?
ARIV primarily works with logistics and transport, manufacturing and distribution businesses, as well as teams whose existing software is not being used effectively.
Our approach can also apply to other sectors where information still moves manually, systems do not communicate, or important processes depend on spreadsheets, emails and phone calls.
If the operational problem fits our capabilities, the industry does not need to be one we have worked in before.
03.02How do I know if my operation needs this?
Common signs include:
- The same information is entered into more than one system.
- Spreadsheets complete processes that your ERP does not handle.
- Answering “Where is it?” requires a phone call or message.
- An important process stops when one person is absent.
- Orders are manually copied from PDFs, emails or scans.
- Teams maintain different versions of the same information.
- Software you paid for is rarely or inconsistently used.
If several of these situations sound familiar, a Workflow Diagnostic is usually the best place to start.
03.03What size of company is ARIV for?
ARIV builds for scaling teams that have outgrown the way they currently manage their operation.
Company size is less important than the complexity and frequency of the problem. A relatively small team can still lose significant time to manual entry, disconnected systems or processes that depend on individual employees.
The first step is to determine whether the operational friction is frequent and costly enough to justify fixing.
WORKING TOGETHER
From first look
to working software.
04.01How does a project with ARIV work?
An ARIV engagement typically follows four stages:
- Understand: We examine the operation with your people, systems and real data.
- Decide: We document where time or information is being lost, what it costs and what should be fixed first.
- Build: We create working software and connect it to the systems you already use.
- Stay: We support the software after launch and improve it as real use reveals new information.
The exact process depends on the engagement, but we do not begin building until the operational problem is understood.
04.02Does ARIV work on site?
Yes, when observing the work in person will materially improve the engagement.
The real process is often different from the process described in a document or meeting. Working on site allows us to see the handovers, exceptions and informal workarounds that would otherwise be missed.
Location and the appropriate combination of on-site and remote work are agreed before the engagement begins.
04.03What do we receive at the end of a build?
You receive working software deployed in the agreed environment, documentation and training for the people who will use or manage it.
We do not treat an undeployed prototype as a completed build. Before handover, the software should be operating in its intended environment and introduced to the team that will use it.
The engagement also defines how support, maintenance and future improvements will be handled after launch.
